they also use about 20 percent of the electricity that a normal one uses. AND they last longer. The main reason for their greenness is not their recyclability. It is there less electricity use.

yes, but that isn’t the main reason they are better. The main reason is that a regular CFL uses about 18 watts. A regular Incandescent is 60 Watts.

I’ve probably busted more of the “regular” bulbs than I will EVER bust of the CF bulbs! LOLOLOLOLOL!
CF’s are THE way to go. I have been using them for over ten years now. I wouldn’t buy another “regular” bulb again…except the one in the oven.:/ Sorry, but I don’t think a CF would last in there…LOL!

You’re right, if you just tell someone “it uses less power” then yeah they wont care. But if you explain the that the CFLs put out more energy than they take, then you might get somewhere. You’re still young man, you don’t know everything.
